Ellen Johnson is a certified personal property appraiser and a current member in good standing of the Certified Appraisers Guild of America. She completed a rigorous course on how to appraise furniture, antiques, and other personal property.
Her areas of emphasis included IRS appraisal requirements, estate and gift appraisals, charitable donation appraisals, insurance appraisals and appraisals for divorce or casualty loss.
Ellen attended the Guild’s expert witness seminar and has been trained in preparing appraisals for court and testifying as an expert witness. She was also required to pass a comprehensive exam as part of the certification process.
The Certified Appraisers Guild of America is the largest educator of personal property appraisers in the U.S. Members must make a commitment to the Certified Appraisers Guild Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
